Time Out says

Jem Finer’s ‘Longplayer’ is a musical composition playing in real time, without repetition, over the course of a millennium in London’s only lighthouse, at Trinity Buoy Wharf. Composed for Tibetan singing bowls (a type of standing bell), and currently playing on computer, ‘Longplayer’ began playing on January 1 2000 and the plan is for the project to continue until the end of 2999. You can find more information about the work at www.longplayer.org.
