Time Out says

Horse Guards Parade is the large parade ground between Whitehall and St James's Park, which is best known as the location for the regular Changing of the Guard. It also hosts Trooping the Colour, which commemorates the Queen's official birthday each June, and the grand military ceremony of Beating Retreat, as well as providing a home for the Household Cavalry Museum

During Open House London 2014 Horse Guards will be open to the public on Saturday September 20 and Sunday September 21, 10am-3.30pm. 45-minute tours will run every half an hour but expect queues of up to two hours.
