The Design Museum, which has the UK's only collection devoted exclusively to contemporary design, opens a permanent display to showcase some of its highlights and rarities. Subtitled 'Extraordinary Stories about Ordinary Things', the display aims to tell you things you didn't know about, for example, the London 2012 Logo, Ernö Goldfinger's home in Hampstead, National Rail branding and road signs. Also look out for stories behind the Anglepoise Lamp, a 1986 Dyson vacuum cleaner, and the famous K6 telephone kiosk, designed by Giles Gilbert Scott.
