Thomas Demand: Latent Forms

The German artist presents his photographic series of architectural models created by the Japanese architecture firm, SANAA. Known for his illusionistic paper constructions, which he then photographs to create elaborate replications of culturally significant locations such as the Oval office or glimpses of the everyday like clothes pegs, this is an extension from Demand’s 2011 ‘Model Studies’ series that focused for the first time on models by someone else.
