The Pleasure of the Text

It seems counter productive to write about a show that is all about questioning the labelling of work. Taking its title from a Roland Barthes book of the same name, this group show featuring Kerstin Brätsch, Lucy Dodd, Michaela Eichwald, Daiga Grantina, Rachel Harrison, Jutta Koether, Amy Sillman and Joan Snyder seeks to liberate art from theoretical expectations and readdress the enjoyment of making and experiencing work without predefined restrictions.
