The Chimurenga Library

For the innovative Cape Town­based collective’s first UK show, Chimurenga, which roughly translates as ‘struggle for freedom’, will takeover the gallery for its daily activities of supporting new music, literature and visual arts across Africa with a focus on political reflection. Presented in partnership between The Showroom and The Otolith Collective, Chimurenga will host a live broadcast studio of the Pan African Space Station (PASS) collaborating with a diverse range of musicians, journalists and curators to encourage expansive research and awareness beyond their current geographical remit.
