Time Out says

Super star singer, songwriter and all round musical extraordinaire Solange has collaborated with the Tate Modern for a digital art piece exploring Black womanhood.

'Seventy States', described as a 'one off digital interactive dossier', is a response to the gallery's 'Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power' exhibition and features unseen performances from her 'Cranes in the Sky' and 'Don’t Touch My Hair' music videos from her 2016 album 'A Seat at the Table', plus two untitled poems and a new performance called ‘We Sleep in Our Clothes’.

The project was inspired by a photograph of artist Betye Saar and her role in the black arts movement of the 1970s and explores Black identity within her own work.

Explore 'Seventy States' here and discover more about Betye Saar and her work at 'Soul of a Nation'.
