Simeon Barclay: The Hero Wears Clay Shoes

Footballers, fashion shows, cartoons, gymnasts, actors – a disparate list, but images of all of them help form Simeon Barclay’s exhibition on how we relate to contemporary culture and define our identity from it. The result is a glorious visual mash-up, scattered with images of everything from Diego Maradona’s infamous ‘hand of God’ goal, 1980s television drama ‘Boys from the Blackstuff’ and notorious comic ‘Viz’.
