Sarah Baker: Le Fan Fan

Projected film installation which reinterprets the character of Chinese martial arts expert Chu Liuxiang from the Chu Liuxiang Chuanqi novels, who used a fan as his weapon of defence. The work was made in collaboration with a milliner, a kabuki dancer, a Tai Chi master and French fan maker Sylvain Le Guen, among others.
