Thorny issues of history, collective memory and censorship are addressed in the Brazilian artist's work. Here, in a display that originated from the artist's residency at Uruguay's Centro de Fotografía, she looks at the social and political upheavals in Uruguay and throughout Latin America during the 1960s and '70s. Displayed as an ever-changing series of slide projections are images from the now defunct communist newspaper El Popular of boxing and football matches, religious ceremonies, demonstrations and armed confrontations between the military police and protesters.
