Model Court is an ongoing collaboration between artists and researchers: Lawrence Abu Hamdan, Sidsel Meinesche Hansen, Lorenzo Pezzani and Oliver Rees. The aim of this exhibition is to explore the role of technology in the legal space. Through a film, an installation and an accompanying series of events, the group of artists approach the trial of Francois Bazaramba, a Rwandan national convicted of genocide. His trial was unusual as he participated via Skype and the procedure was carried out in Finland by a small, regional court. In their investigation, the group touch on issues of aid, neo-colonialism and the production of history.
