Time Out says

JMW Turner’s moody and evocative paintings were the inspiration behind the New York-based duo’s new work. Although Turner might never have imagined a robot could create the same mood and colour tonality as himself from mopping the floor. As with many of Reena Spaulings’s work, a third party is often employed to create the work by way of questioning artistic authorship. Taking the premise of Bernadette Corporation’s novel, ‘Reena Spaulings’, in 2004 John Kelsey and Emily Sundbald set up the identity of a gallerist and an artist of the same name in New York to produce shows and work in various forms to toy with the concept of a branded commodity.
