For his first show at the gallery, the Colombian artist presents new works that incorporate painting, drawing, sculpture, sound, and film. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2012, the art world has gone giddy for Murillo’s grimy aesthetic. In 2013 he transported the entire contents of his east London studio for his show at South London Gallery making the process of work the art that the public could directly interact with including walking over drawings on the floor. Here, Murillo will bring the binary aspects of his multifaceted practice together.
