This group exhibition investigates the different political and aesthetic positions adopted during the period leading up to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Featured are Suzy Lake’s 1985 Boundaries series, a reaction to the social activism she participated in while working with the Sandinistas in Nicaragua, works by KP Brehmer and Ludmila Seefried-Matejkova who were active in West Berlin during the period, and an installation from Gaylen Gerber on night clubbing, which includes a piece by curator Will Benedict.
