Marijn van Kreij: He Who Sings Is Not Always Happy

You'd be forgiven for not spotting the reference of van Kreij's work. The patterns by the Dutch artist are so far removed from the original that it would take a post-impressionism specialist to deduce you were looking at detailed, repeated sections of paintings by the French artist Pierre Bonnard.
