Maggi Hambling: Walls of Water

The celebrated British painter presents eight intense, large-scale paintings of giant waves on the Suffolk-coast. As the first artist chosen for the National Gallery's Artist in Residence scheme back in 1980, Hambling returns to Trafalgar Square with these new exuberant works influenced by the county she was born in and where she continues to work today.
