Over the last 10 years, the Museum of Transology has been building up what is now the world’s biggest collection of objects and stories relating to trans, non-binary and intersex lives. Now, it’s celebrating both that decade of shining a light on these stories and the lives of the people within the LGBTQIA+ community with a special exhibition, Transology.
Featuring over 1,000 artefacts and works – including by some notable LGTBQIA+ figures – the exhibit aims to amplify the underrepresented and often forgotten stories from the trans community, while celebrating resilience, identity and creativity. As you walk through the displays, you’ll absorb items that cover the personal and the public – from things that mark private gender milestones to protest placards and political rallies.
