Lens on Life

Curated by Marina Wallace, this interdisciplinary show is the result of the collaborative endeavours of artists and scientists from MitoSys, a project coordinated by the Institute of Molecular Pathology in Vienna on revealing how genes and proteins govern the process of mitosis in human cells. Artistic imagination from the likes of Lucy + Jorge Orta and Ackroyd & Harvey brings an alternative perspective on this delicate mechanism that is elemental to human life. A documentary on the joint efforts of the artists and the scientists involved, titled Meeting of Minds, features as a crucial component of the exhibition.
