According to this group exhibition including Juan Downey, Lili Dujourie, Sidsel Meineche Hansen, Matts Leiderstam and Chris Marker we might have a lot more in common with our barbarian ancestors than we care to admit. Well maybe that’s a slight exaggeration, but considering the German sociologist, Norbert Elias’s theory that future generations will make direct connections between us and our primitive forefathers, this show attempts to unpick the constant flux of social systems and the canon of Western European art and determine how the presence of history effects us.
