Premiering in London is this recent series of videos, without sound, of seven dishevelled 'Beggars'. The ruse is that some are actors, feigning homelessness on the streets of Istanbul. Presumably, these impostors are there to make us take a keener interest in this disenfranchised section of society, but no matter how close your encounter or engagement is with any of the 'Beggars' they're still kept at a safe distance behind the video screen in a cosy Piccadilly gallery.
