This exhibition at Flowers gallery charts the whole of Josef Herman's career, from his arrival in Britain in 1940 after fleeing the Nazis through to his long career painting in Glasgow, South Wales, London and Suffolk. During the eleven years he spent living in Ystradgynlais, Wales, the painter captured the lives of miners living and working in the Swansea Valley. This show will include works last on public display in the 1950s.
