Time Out says

Derek Jarman was one of the most forward-thinking, influential video artists of his generation. The provocative filmmaker is the inspiration behind the annual Film London Jarman Award that supports artists working with moving image and who challenge convention, just like the award’s namesake.

The Whitechapel Gallery hosts a weekend of screenings and talks profiling this year’s six shortlisted artists including a performance by Bedwyr Williams, music by Seamus Harahan and a poetry talk with Andrea Luka Zimmerman, whose film ‘Estate: A Reverie’ is a celebration of extraordinary everyday life on a housing estate in Hackney.

This year's shortlisted moving-image artists are: Adam Chodzko, Seamus Harahan, Gail Pickering, Alia Syed, Bedwyr Williams and Andrea Luka Zimmerman.
