The arte povera pioneer presents an installation of black-torn coats. Known for his sculptural installations made from everyday materials, the Greek artist has been addressing the tensions between traditions and consumerism in contemporary living for over 50 years. Often approaching the gallery as a theatrical space, here Kounellis re-stages a project originally shown at Palazzo Vignola in Todi, Italy.
