Hush: Fatales

Hush started life as an art director in the Far East and as such, is famed for his trademark portrayals of Japanese subjects. Whilst there are still remnants of oriental-influence in this new exhibition, ‘Fatales’ also includes portraits of European, modern-day vamps. With their features blanked out, these sirens are simultaneously sexy and unisex – their sensuality aggressively disrupted. The twelve canvases featured may look collaged but are in fact entirely painted or screen printed, and the exhibition will also feature sketches which show off Hush’s remarkable technical prowess.
