Florence Peake: The Keeners

Taking the premise of professional mourners in Irish and Celtic communities who grieve on behalf of others, Peake’s ambitious dance performance will mourn the commodification of art. In a mirrored space, dancers will each mourn a loss collated from a public open call. Here, collective lamenting and the irony of contemporary dilemmas are explored.
