Although somewhat neglected during his lifetime, the twentieth century painter David Bomberg is an enduring influence. This exhibition brings together the works of the students he taught at Borough Polytechnic after the Second World War who have gone on to become established figures in cotemporary art such as Leon Kossoff and Frank Auerbach. Auerbach referred to Bomberg as: ‘probably the most original, stubborn, radical intelligence that was to be found in art schools.’
