A mercurial mischief-maker of the highest order, this New Yorker is known for humorous proposals for impossible artworks – include a baby changing table installed under Leonardo da Vinci’s 'The Last Supper' – and mirthful stunts based on the history of the readymade – such as selling money at auction. His second exhibition with Sadie Coles will include two interactive games – a chessboard featuring everyday objects and people instead of chess pieces, and a pétanque court.
