We reckon conceptual art daddy Marcel Duchamp and young Berlin artist Camilla Steinum would have got on well, possibly bonding over cleaning the loo. Forget the urinal, though. For Steinum it’s all about the bog brush. Her sculptural assemblages incorporate steel structures from which felt patchwork throws are hung and toilet brushes protrude, immortalised in resin along with horrible bits of hair and dead leaves. Well, you can’t lift the lid on toilet art without things getting messy.
