Bridget Smith: The Eye Needs A Horizon

The magic of cinema – minus the popcorn, and the film – is evoked in the Essex-born artist's latest exhibition. Smith deconstructs the architecture of cinemas with works including 'Blueprint for a Curtain', a 1:1 scale print of a cinema curtain, which spills off the gallery wall on to the floor, and a high definition video showing a beam of light – and particles of dust – emanating from an unseen projector. A case of lights, camera… suspended action.
