The East London Art Group came to prominence between WW1 and WW2 with their paintings and drawings that chronicled life in east London. Although majority of the artists came from humble beginnings, they flourished under the mentorship of Slade School of Fine Art trained artist, John Cooper and Camden Town Group member, Walter Sickert.
