London, you’re beautiful. No, scrap that. London, you’re wild. Angry. Delicious. How do you sum up a city that changes its look as often as its underwear and always has plenty to say? That’s the challenge we set ourselves when we decided to draw up a definitive list of the best photographs ever taken of the capital.
Earlier this month we asked you to send in your best shots of London for our inaugural Time Out photo competition. And boy, that's exactly what you did. We were showered by a whopping 12,000 entries across six categories: Real Londoners; On the Move; Beautiful London; Wild London; Delicious; and Weird and Wonderful. So, when we asked Martin Parr to judge the winners (in between curating his new, five-star exhibition at the Barbican: 'Strange and Familiar') it was a pretty tough decision. You can see the winning photos here and check out the runners-up in each category over coming weeks. First up: 'Delicious'.
