That’s the challenge we set ourselves when we decided to draw up a definitive list of the best photographs ever taken of the capital.
We're always heading somewhere in this city – rushing for the tube, manhandling a Boris bike, getting lost in Soho – and the entries for the 'On The Move' category of this year's photo competition perfectly captured Londoners in flight.
