The Candlelight Club

A dazzling, clandestine pop-up cocktail bar with a 1920s speakeasy flavour in a secret den lit entirely by candles, from the people that bring you The New Sheridan Club. Each event has a different cocktail menu each time (tonight, it's absinthe, served in ornate old-fashioned glasses!) and admission includes a free cocktail and a light supper of exotic sandwiches. That's not the only thing that's sparkling: they'll be live rag-time music from the Dixie Ticklers, period shellac spun by MC Fruity and magic from Ian Rowland, topped off with a tablecloth art competition. It really is the closest thing you'll find to an authentic Jazz Age experience.
