Elevador Panorâmico da Boca do Vento

Elevador da Boca do Vento, in Cacilhas (a 15-minute boat ride from Cais do Sodré), is a less busy alternative to Cristo Rei for altitude selfies. The ride costs €1 and links Almada Velha to the riverbank, where you will find the Jardim do Rio garden. At the top of the hill, there’s a viewpoint with cocktails from Boca do Vento’s bar. From time to time, an extreme sports company organises bungee jumping sessions there, for the bravest of us who literally like to jump in head first.
