The "Perseidas" observation night begins at Abano Beach, continuing along its cliffs during twilight towards the sands of Guincho Beach. It then proceeds to the Cresmina dunes, along the boardwalks that cross the dune system. In the darkness and without significant light pollution, this is an excellent spot to witness one of the most anticipated astronomical phenomena of the year – the Perseids Meteor Shower – the most beautiful meteor shower of the year. The walk returns to the starting point, following trails between Guincho and Abano.
This is an easy circular route of 6 km, with a duration of 2.5 hours. Meeting point: Abano Beach car park, next to the Abano restaurant. Registration and more info at Hike Land. 11th of August (Sun) 21.00-23.30. 10€.
