Portuguese poet Ary dos Santos says Christmas is whenever a man wants it to be. These says, summer is also a strong contender. Such was the conclusion that spurred the three owners – Fernanda Santos and sisters Inês and Marta Fonseca – into opening the swimwear brand’s first shop in Lisbon, in Príncipe Real. It’s half-local – the other half was born a few kilometres to the north, in Porto – but that’s beside the point. Their collections are always inspired by a specific place, or latitude, and this year they travelled to California. They brought back 24 different designs, each of them available in three different colours.
