Dishes from Mozambique, beautifully prepared and presented in an airy space, plus a huge terrace with stunning views of Lisbon: what's not to like? The place also has dishes from the Beiras region of central Portugal. There's a Portuguese touch to the decoration, too, in the form of Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics. Zambeze is on the roof of a multi-storey car park, so if you're on foot take the Elevador do Castelo (Rua dos Fanqueiros 170; open 9am-9pm daily) then cross the road to the car park, where another lift (by the Pingo Doce supermarket) whisks you up to the roof.
