Pastelaria Mexicana

This large snack bar - with nothing Mexican about it - is handy for a drink or meal after a show at Culturgest or Teatro Maria Matos, as it serves food right up until closing time. It was opened in 1946 - and is still owned by the same family - but the striking tiled decor dates from 1962. The cakes, pastries and scones are all made on the premises.
