One of the bastions of traditional food on the outskirts of Lisbon, Orelhas, in Queijas, is a nice restaurant where you can eat for € 20 (unless you go crazy with the wine). The kitchen is open to the living room and has a showcase of meats and good sea fish to bake, under the care of Mr. Travassos. The menu is made based on what's on the day, you may never get to see it and rely on what they suggest and pick up dishes such as roasted oxtail, pork cheeks, stewed cow's tongue or nun's belly.
Perfect for: those who do not like to decide and prefer to be carried away by the suggestions of the day.
Must try: the chicken cabidela.
