The rule: never trust riverfront restaurants. The exception: O Miguel. As is the case of all good restaurants in the region, Miguel Peixoto’s secret lies in his contact list, as the fish is brought to him, in great part, by fishermen he knows and trusts. Off the grill, we suggest the following route: escabeche sardines, roe and octopus salads or fried ray in cebolada sauce to start, followed by the rich caldeirada (35€ for two) or shredded crab and shrimp pasta (30€, also to share).
