Nova Wine Bar

The package on offer here, while not groundbreaking, is oddly unusual in Lisbon: good wine by the glass, an attractive selection of nibbles, informed recommendations and the option of buying the bottle at the end. Seems simple, but it took two publicists to really develop the idea – Pedro Caixado and Miguel Branco, from Multinice. There is a careful by-the-glass selection starting at 3,50€ that covers all regions, varieties and winemaking methods. The nibbles will pass and surpass any taste test: fresh goats’ cheese with sundried tomato, olive oil and basil (4,50€), cod flakes with mashed chickpeas (9€) or muxama (filleted salt-cured tuna) with a rocket salad (10€).
