Green eggs, veal croquettes, soft-dough pastries, fried squid, fava beans with bacon and coriander; whatever happens, we will always love restaurants serving these snacks – when they're properly done. At Mesa do Bairro, a nice space covered in wood and sunshine, they do it properly and they do it everyday. Heavier fare includes cod “açorda” bread soup and lamb chops with mint sauce. The restaurant has a wine cellar where you can go shopping.
Time Out tips:
– There is a special steak section: sirloin or rump, four different sauces.
– A fine restaurant for groups dinners (with preset menus).
– “Cozido” is Sunday's special.
