The calling card for this restaurant is the small fish stall on the way in, filled with turbot, grouper, sea bass, wrekfish, swordfish, alfonsin, gilded sea bream and other species (deep breath). Pick your poison before moving on to your table; while the fish is on the grill, have some clams, goose barnacles or Espinho shrimp. You have to order the side dishes separately – roast potatoes and sautéed broccoli are among the best. For a perfect ending, get a “nata” custard pie, homemade and always hot off the oven.
Time Out tips:
– There is a view not to the sea, but to the Monsanto greenery.
– The restaurant has a bakery in-house, so don't ignore the appetizers.
– Their special “bolota” ham will go great as a starter.
