In this "tasca" everydody feels at home, much because of Mr. João, who speaks enthusiastically both about his restaurant and cooking of his wife, Ms. Adelaide, and the artist that have been patrons here. He tells us that Andrew Zimmern, host of American TV Show Bizarre Foods, helped make the Imperial more famous. The menu is chock full of traditional Portuguese dishes, which rotate according to the days of the week, including "chanfana" goat stew and Minho-style cod (the owners come from Ponte da Barca, in Northern Portugal).
