Mr. António left his business to daughters Paula and Judite, who modernized this Bairro Alto "tasca" but kept its essence. The old cash register is still there, and so are the hand-painted tiles on the wall, but the place was expanded, to accommodate group dinners. Good fried fish is still served: horse mackerel, cod "iscas" with onions and "patanisca" fritters, the latter according to a prize recipe from the family mother, Ms. Amália. On the wall there's a guarantee of "good booze" in a painting done by a former client.
