The story begins in 1889, without “once upon a time”, but with eyes set on the future. A small bakery in northern France aims to spread traditional French flavors around the world and… it succeeds. 130 years later, on five continents, in 45 countries and with more than 750 stores, PAUL is a gastronomic reference and a window into the French culture and cuisine.

In Lisbon, the story begins in 2016, with the opening of a flagship store on Rua Augusta, the heart of the capital. This is followed by stores in the Cascais Bay and at Lisbon and Faro airports. The Portuguese expression “living the big way and the French way” materializes for those who visit spaces laden with color and fresh products, with refined and elegant interiors and, when the weather invites, undeniable terraces.

For breakfast/afternoon tea …

It is said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And that's one of the reasons to go all in. The other… is that at PAUL everything is good and appetizing. Go for the savory options, such as a wide range of baked goods or the classic French croissants, and accompany them with coffee, milk or juice. If you prefer to sweeten the day first thing in the morning, there's no shortage of options: éclairs, palmiers, tartlets, macarons... Wake up! You’re still in Lisbon, not Paris.

For lunch…

When it's time for a break, sit down at PAUL. It has more complete options, for those who like to enjoy this meal in a leisurely way, or faster options, for those who don't have time to waste. Sandwiches, hamburgers with the ingredients you like best, croquettes, salads, quiches: everything will leave your mouth watering and your head all the way out in France.

Delicious food isn't PAUL's only concern. There are many other aspects that deserve equal attention, namely a balanced and healthy diet, with quality ingredients, and increasingly sustainable practices.
