OHficina is also called the Improbable Materials Laboratory, and this former hothouse in the Marechal Carmona Park, converted into an all-ages playroom, is indeed full of improbable stuff. But there’s a point to the play, since this project is about education, environmental sustainability and art. “Things that some would call waste are our raw materials. The concept is to breath new life into materials, and teach people there’s always something to be done with what they may think is garbage”, Maria Peres, one of the project’s developers, told Time Out. OHficina is open some days of the week for the community and for schools, and it has a specific event schedule on weekends.
