Hernâni Miguel is a legend in Lisbon’s nightlife, a name associated with many of the bars that marked the city’s transformation in the 1990s. Almost 20 years later, in 2015, he set up Tabernáculo, with good music, petiscos and a wine bar hidden inside a “grotto”, as he calls it, on “authentic” Rua de São Paulo. “It’s a street that mixes typical Portuguese restaurants with new, trendy ones,” he explains. It’s also a great place to try wines from the Quinta da Bacalhoa.
