As part of the celebrations of the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri (1265- 1321), the Renaissance Gallery of the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum hosts “Visões de Dante. O Inferno segundo Botticelli”, which will show, among other things, two exceptional drawings on parchment by Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510) alluding to the “Inferno” of The Divine Comedy and also two manuscripts by Jacopo della Lana and Boccaccio, donated by the Vatican Apostolic Library.
