Held four times a year at St Gemma’s hospice in Moortown, this popular vintage market has more than 30 stalls selling all things retro, such as furniture, clothing, jewellery, vinyl, books and art.
There’s also live music, a raffle, and home-made cakes to be had in the vintage tea room. If you’ve any antiques lying around, bring them in the morning and you can get them evaluated by an antiques expert.
All profit goes towards helping pay for care for terminally ill patients and their families. In the eight years the fair has been going, the hospice, which was founded by the Sisters of the Cross and Passion in 1977, has raised around £90,000. Items on sale – from 1940s’ wedding dresses to working 1920s telephones – are donated in person or from one of St Gemma’s 23 charity stores around Leeds.
If you’ve any antiques lurking in the cupboard, bring them along for an evaluation too.
